Ribbon: Medal For Heroism
Name: Medal For Heroism
Description: Criteria: Awarded to any JROTC cadet who performs an act of heroism.
Ribbon: Superior Cadet
Name: Superior Cadet
Criteria: Awarded annually to one outstanding cadet in each LET Level.
Ribbon: N-1-1
Name: Distinguished Cadet
Criteria: Awarded annually to one cadet who exhibits the highest degree of excellence in scholastics.
Ribbon: N-1-2
Name: Academic Execellence
Criteria: Awarded annually to one cadet in each LET level for maintaining highest school academic grades.
Ribbon: N-1-3
Name: Academic Achievement
Criteria: Awarded annually to those cadets that maintain a grade of "A" in all academic subjects.

Name: Perfect Attendance
Criteria: Awarded to cadets with no unexcused absence during each quarter/semester.

Criteria: Elected to a student government office.

Criteria: Awarded annually to cadets who maintain excellent physical fitness. Male cadets must run one mile in 8:30 minutes or less; females in 10:45 minutes or less.

Criteria: Awarded to cadets for summer camp participation.

Criteria: Active member in one of Fort Hamilton High School's music groups

Criteria: Awarded to cadets who recruit 2 students into the JROTC program each quarter/semester.

Criteria: 20 hours required for senior graduation

Criteria: Exemplary office service, leadership skills and synergy

Name: School Service
Criteria: 20 Hours of school service required on an annual basis.

Name: Service Learning
Criteria: Awarded to cadets who participate in service learning projects.
Ribbon: N-4-7
Name: Excellent Staff Position
Criteria: Awarded to cadet staff officers for excellent performance.


Name: Superior Junior Cadet Award
Criteria: Awarded annually to one outstanding cadet in each LET Level.
Honor Unit Insignia. Each member of a unit designated as an Honor Unit will be awarded the Honor Unit Insignia (blue star).
Honor Unit with Distinction Insignia. Each member of a unit designated as an Honor Unit with Distinction will be awarded the Honor Unit with Distinction Insignia (yellow star).
Academic Achievement Insignia. A gold wreath authorized for wear by cadets in the top ten percent of each JROTC class based on grades earned in JROTC courses, as determined by the SAI. Subsequent awards are indicated by a felt pad center background:
  • For second award---a red pad.
  • For third award---a silver pad.
  • For fourth award---a gold pad.

    Criteria: Awarded to a cadet who passes the Color Guard/Honor Guard test with a 90% or higher.
    Name: Drill Team Shoulder Cord
    Criteria: Awarded to a cadet who passes the Drill Team test with a 90% or higher.

    Name: Raiders Shoulder Cord
    Criteria: Awarded to a cadet who passes the Raiders test with a 90% or higher.

    Name: Honor Societies Shoulder Cord
    Criteria: Awarded to a cadet has a 90% or higher on their GPA and is a junior or senior.
    Name: Honor Guard Shoulder Cord
