Tiger Battalion » Knowledge » Promotion Standards

  • Your potential to be promoted is linked to your ability and your grades not only in JROTC, but in all of your classes.

  • Report Cards are reviewed at the end of every marking period. Your weighted average determines if you may be considered for promotion and limits the rank which you may attain.
        Below 60 - C/PV2 is the highest rank/grade
        60-64.99 - C/PFC is the highest rank/grade
        65-68.99 - C/CPL is the highest rank/grade
        69-72.99 - C/SSGT is the highest rank/grade
73 & above - Unlimited but based on potential
  • If your average is below that required for your present rank you go on probation for one marking period.

  • If below that required for present grade the next marking period, you will be administratively reduced one grade. NO QUESTIONS ASKED.

  • Failure to wear your uniform twice in a marking term will result in your reduction in grade by one rank automatically. NO QUESTIONS ASKED.
